Elementary Principles of Christ—that’s how the writer of the book of Hebrews describes the foundation of our Christian faith. Since the whole world is in serious crisis, surely we should check our foundations to see if they are strong and in good repair. Crisis times are sure to test our faith and resolve. The enemies of faith would like to see the foundation crumble and the house collapse in the face of the storm. The final foundational principle listed is eternal judgment. How will it fare for the unbelieving world around us and what will be the outcome for followers of Christ when He returns to judge the living and the dead? “Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.” Galatians 6:4-5 (NLT)
