Facing Off in Crisis

The Word teaches us that we don’t contend with “flesh and blood” but with principalities and powers, and wicked spirits in the heavenly realms—real demonic powers set on bringing destruction. How we pick and how we fight our battles determines the final outcome. Having weapons in this confrontation is important and how we deploy them even more important! In hockey and lacrosse, the object of face-off is to face the opponent and gain control of the puck or the ball to advance toward the goal. As believers, we must do the same, wresting control of the crises from the enemy using the authority Jesus has given us. The Apostle John recorded, “And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.” Revelation 12:11 AMP It’s a serious face-off with a deadly opponent, but in Jesus we win!
