God’s quest to have a people of His own runs throughout the history of the Bible. In the Old Testament He took the nation of Israel as a jewel. Today He wants to make us something special, a treasured possession. To fulfill that destiny makes obedience to the Word of God an imperative. The church must come out of darkness and show forth the praises of God. We are a treasured people of God who have obtained mercy.
