Pestilences and New Diseases

Jesus forewarned that at the very end of the age, there would be an emergence and proliferation of diseases. He said, “There will be pestilences… Matthew 24:7. Bombarded by the media, we understand that Covid-19, the latest of the strains of flu viruses has mutated into a potentially devastating worldwide disease. It carries the threat of not only sickness and death, but also economic devastation. Fear, aggravated by media frenzy, is on the rise worldwide gripping whole nations and leaving governments to grapple with its effects. Since Jesus warned believers it was coming, we should be prepared to challenge the forces of darkness behind the growing pandemic. Put on your armor Christian, and go to war! In Jesus, we have the victory. Let’s bring in the harvest like never before!
