Since the time of Jesus, tradition and religious ritual has often displaced a genuine move of the Holy Spirit. It is left for the believer to sort out the issues, and recognize the authenticity of the Holy Spirit. While longing for another fresh outpouring, we should not be fooled by the counterfeit, nor should we miss what the Holy Spirit is doing in our day just because it doesn’t look like we thought it would.
