As believers in Jesus, we have the Spirit of God living in us. That means we can choose to be led by the Holy Spirit and obey His voice, instead of how our flesh would direct us. The more we yield to Him, have fellowship and worship Him, the more we will be able to discern what His Spirit leads us to do.
