When we are born again, we are made to be new creatures in Christ, but our soul requires restoration. Sometimes we carry belief systems that are based on lies we have believed, as a result of various events and circumstances in our lives. Those lies produce emotions and result in actions that do not line up to the Word of God. We need our hearts healed from the past and our minds renewed to the truth of God. This is a work of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God as we seek to renew our minds. In this way, we will be free from past hurts and lies, and can walk in genuine victory, ready to fulfill all that the Lord has for us.
