“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord…” (Philippians 3:8) Paul’s expression of his quest to know Jesus should be the heart cry of every believer. He recognized that while we cannot earn our own salvation, knowing Jesus and the power of His resurrection comes with a cost. We can’t fully experience the power of His resurrection unless we are crucified with Him. Only when the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, can we fully experience resurrection life and power.
