As believers who follow the Lord God, we can be like Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20, and choose to look to God instead of the fleshly nature when we respond to life’s challenges. It’s important for us to build a strong spirit so we choose more often than not, to rely on the Holy Spirit in us. There are several spiritual disciplines found in the Word of God that can help us to build a strong spirit. Then we can boldly declare, “the Lord is the strength of my life!” (Psalm 27:1).
