Jesus had quite a lot to say about authority. He commended a Roman centurion because of his understanding of spiritual authority. He gave His disciples authority over demon power. In the Great Commission He transferred authority to reap a harvest of souls to disciples of every generation. He challenged believers of all times to have great faith and operate with tremendous authority. Yet in our time, many consider using such power as controversial.
