A group of ministers were discussing the spiritual conditions of our nation. In a recent survey that defined a Christian as being one who believes that the only way to heaven is through Jesus, only 6% agreed. One minister said only a total economic collapse would cause Americans to repent. This pervasive belief is often expressed by evangelicals of every stripe. If it’s true, would Christians just blame the calamity on non-believers? Just maybe the real problem is the believers themselves. Perhaps we’re Hung by the Tongue.
