Surely you have heard of the acronym KISS. Consider this admonition to an important Syrian military officer. “Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it?” (1 Kings 5:13) In the Holy Spirit’s School of Faith, the agenda is often executing one simple instruction. Why is it so difficult for us to carry out one simple instruction? We would rather try to master some great preacher’s Ten Steps to Freedom than to initiate one simple instruction from the Holy Spirit. Today I invite you to join the class, but first you must promise to keep it simple.
